Yesterday I got my daily e-mail digest from Israemploy listing new positions available in Israel, and there were 61 today, seeking Chefs, Engineers, Programmers, Nurses, and much more! The Israeli economy is booming, and if you are at all thinking of making aliyah, or even if you aren't (yet), I strongly suggest subscribing to this list. There is a job waiting for you in Israel. Meet the Avrahams
For this blog's first post on positive news from Israel, there is this piece from Haaretz:
Amidst all the corruption scandals, violence, and despair that comprises most of the news from Israel, this small piece stands out. The Avrahams made aliyah from Ethiopia, and their story is nice but not spectacular. But the ordinariness of their story is what is so special. Despite all the difficulties in Israel, it is still a miraculous place where Jews come from all over the world to make a better life for themselves and for Am Yisrael.
